A Heavenly Home

It is the desire of my heart, that our home would mirror heaven.  That it would be a place of love, laughter, peace, and growth.  A place where each family member, (or visitor), is made to feel special, important, and valued beyond measure.
A passage of scripture that I am meditating on, is Proverbs 31.  It is such an awesome portrayal of a virtuous wife!   On the topic of desiring to have a more heavenly home, one verse really stuck with me, as an important factor, in accomplishing just that.  It is Proverbs 31:27 ~ She watches over the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness.  That is a good reminder for me on those days when I am not feeling very motivated.  I am so thankful for God's mercy and grace!  What a privilege it is to be a keeper of the home!

  1. That is a verse that I try to keep in mind as well. One of my other favorites from Proverbs 31 is "She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness." That's one I'm sure I need to post somewhere in my house so that I can put it into practice more often!

  3. There is so much wisdom in the whole Proverb - each time I read it I get more.
